Notes:
* On May 1 six companies of the 34th New York stacked arms and refused to respond to orders, claiming their enlistments were up. General Sully was ordered to deal with the problem but reported he could not. General Gibbon endied the mutiny with a short speech in which he threatened to have the 19th Maine open fire on the mutineers and “kill every man it could.” He then relieved Sully of his command.
** The 4th New York’s enlstment was up but they elected to stay on until after the battle. They were assigned to special duty at the Corps hospital.
