The monument to Confederate Brigadier General Samuel Garland is on Reno Monument Road at the crest of Fox’s Gap on the South Mountain battlefield in Maryland. (map) The monument was placed on September 11, 1993, by members of the Garland-Rhodes Camp 409, Sons of Confederate Veterans.
