July 21, 1861

Historic Farm Road Trace

Brig. Gen. Thomas J. Jackson’s First Virginia Brigade, plus artillery, marched from Confederate headquarters at the Lewis House (“Portici”) along this wagon path to Henry Hill, arriving here about noon.
