Stop 9 of the Manassas Battlefield Driving Tour is on the south end of New York Avenue (see map at borrom). It was here on the last day of the Second Battle of Manassas that two New York regiments were overwhelmed as they tried to slow Longstreet’s attack to buy time for the rest of the Union army.

There are several monuments and wayside markers at Stop 9 and along New York Avenue:

Location of Stop 9
Stop 9 of the Manassas Battlefield Driving Tour is on the south end of New York Avenue about 0.3 mile south of Lee Highway (U.S. 29). (38°48’36.3″N 77°32’39.4″W) Some of the monuments and markers are along New York Avenue leading south from Lee Highway.
