Grant’s Headquarters

Appomattox Court House * Tour the Village

The Site of Grant’s Headquarters is at the park’s western edge just 1,000 yards from the US 460 interchange. It is at a pull off on the south side of Virginia Route 24 This is the west end of the Appomattox History Trail, a hiking trail that connects Grant Headquarter with Lee’s Headquarters on the opposite side of the park. There are also three historical makers at the headquarters site:

Location

The Site of Grant’s Headquarters is at a pull off on the west side of the park, on the south site of Virginia Route 24 about a half a mile northeast of the US 460 interchange. (37°22’23.3″N 78°49’01.9″W)
