The building that after the war would become “the Stonewall Jackson Shrine” was in May of 1863 the office for Fairfield Plantation. The building has an entryway and two rooms with fireplaces on the ground floor, and a large and small room on the second floor.

House at Guinea Station, where Lieutenant General Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson died

The plantation office where Jackson spent his last days.

The building is not always open – visitors should check ahead. When closed, you can still peer through the windows at the interior, and the interpretive signs are moved to be seen from outside.
