The “Where Ashby Fell” Virginia historical marker was erected in 1922 on the south side of Harrisonburg, Virginia. The marker is some distance from the spot where Ashby was killed, which is marked by a monument south of town. But at the time the marker was erected this was the main highway through the area and the marker showed the side road to take to get to the actual site.
