Mount Jackson to Rude’s Hill


The historical marker for Rude’s Hil is in between Mount Jackson and New Market, Virginia. It was erected in 1927 by the Shenandoah Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. The marker is one of 59 commemorating Virginia Civil War battlefields created during the 1920’s by the Battlefield Markers Association. Location:
A group of five Civil War markers are at Rude’s Hill, on the west side of the Valley Pike (U.S. 11) about 2.5 milles south of Mount Jackson and 3.5 miles north of New Market, Virginia. (38°42’09.8″N 78°38’55.1″W)
