TourStop3The Compass Rose is one of several erected on the battlefields of Spotsylvania County. This one is at Stop 3 on the Spotsylvania Battlefield Auto Tour. It is on the walking trail just a few yards east of the 49th New York monument. The monument is on a walking trail at Stop 3 on the  Spotsylvania Battlefield Auto Tour. It is  about 200 yards from the parking area on the south side of the Confederate embankment. (38°13’24.3″N 77°35’59.8″W)
